And going out is never simple. You can’t just ask anyone. It has to be a support worker who knows your child, and bedtime has to stay on routine. So the big night out keeps moving to “one day”.

Hi, I’m Renee.
I’m the founder of ASD Mum Club, my online club for mums of autistic children, and I created the Christmas Soirée because I know what it’s like when every hour goes to everyone else.
I spent years in weddings and events, making other people’s big nights perfect. Now I make them for mums like us.
If you’ve been missing the dressed-up, done-up version of you, I made this night for you.

Unlike the school Christmas party or a support group, this is a grown-up, dressed-up night out. No agenda. No therapy talk. Just a glass of champagne, a five-star setting and women who live the same life you do.
You’ll walk in dressed up and excited. You’ll walk out celebrated, connected and already planning the next one.

Most women come on their own. I’ll meet you at the door and find you someone lovely to chat with.
Worried about leaving your child, and their routine?
You’ve got this covered. You know your child’s routine better than anyone, and so does your support worker. It’s a Friday, and we finish at 9.30pm.
Worried about a hard day at home?
Life happens. You can pass your ticket to a friend up until 5pm Wednesday 2 December. If you’ve added Stay the Night (my optional hotel room upgrade, more on that below), that part can’t be passed on, as the room is booked in your name.

You spend on everyone else without a second thought. This one is for you. Come home full, and your child picks up on your calm too.

The last time someone truly looked after me, I was on a luxury holiday in Bali. I was waited on hand and foot. I got ready in front of big, beautiful mirrors, and every night I sank into the comfiest bed. My whole body relaxed, and I found myself again.
I want you to feel that.
So I made Stay the Night. One night of that feeling, right here in Brisbane. From 3pm until breakfast, someone else takes care of everything.

Your night, step by step
- The week beforeYou’re in my private Stay the Night group on WhatsApp. Just me and the other Stay the Night mums. Your glam time, room details and breakfast plans all land here, and you get to know each other before the night.
- Friday, 3pmYour own five-star room, just for you. Shoes off. Nap, swim or just enjoy the quiet.
- AfternoonKnock, knock. Your glam team comes to your room. A hairstylist does your hair, and a makeup artist does your full makeup.
- 7.30pmTake the lift down to the party. No traffic. No rush. Not a hair out of place.
- 9.30pmHeels off. You’re upstairs in minutes. A silk eye mask, pillow mist and a handwritten note from me are waiting for you.
- All nightSleep. Nobody needs you until morning.
- Saturday morningBreakfast with me and the other Stay the Night mums. Someone else makes it. Someone else clears it. You drink your coffee while it’s hot.
You could plan all this yourself. Book the room. Find a hairstylist and a makeup artist who will come to you. Time it all around the party. Or you can just turn up. I’ve done it all for you.
You look after everyone. For one night, everyone looks after you.

Good to know
Does my child need a diagnosis?
No. Your child might be diagnosed, going through it now, or not diagnosed at all. What you carry as their mum is the same either way. You belong here.
Do I need to be a member?
No. Every mum raising an autistic child is welcome, member or not. Same price, same night.
Will I have to talk about my child?
Only if you want to. Most of us are there to talk about anything else.
Is it a sit-down dinner?
No. It’s a stand-up cocktail party. Canapés come around all night, but it isn’t a full meal.
What do I wear?
Cocktail glam. There are no rules. Just dress up in whatever makes you feel amazing.
Where exactly is it?
Poolside at The Westin Brisbane, in the CBD. We’ll email you parking and timings in early November.
How do I get the Mecca gift card?
Book early, while spots last. If you’re one of the first 10 to book, we’ll email you to say you’re in, and send your A$100 Mecca gift card by email.
What’s Stay the Night?
An optional upgrade with your own room, a glam team and breakfast. It’s A$1,495 on top of your A$295 ticket, A$1,790 all up. Add it at checkout. Already booked? Email us and we’ll send you a link while rooms are left.
What if I book Stay the Night and need to go home?
That’s fine. The room is yours, so you can head home any time. There are no change-of-mind refunds on Stay the Night.
Why I made this night
You run so much. You deserve a night that’s all yours.
Mums in my community are capable, strong women. They run the house, the appointments, and often a business or a career too. What they rarely get is an invitation worth dressing up for, so I made one.
